MATT SULLIVAN

President and CEO of Sullivan Auto Clinic, Inc.

I first started out working on cars when I was five years old.  I used to help my father work on and maintain the family vehicles.  I would help my father do oil changes and other routine maintenance.  I have always been interested in cars.

I took auto shop in high school for one year and one year of electrical occupations.  I worked in a couple of service stations while I was in high school and part of college.  Once I graduated from high school, I enrolled at Northwestern Michigan College for an automotive education.  I worked my way through college in two years, working at an Amoco Station and another auto repair shop while attending school.  I graduated with an Associates of Applied Science, and continued working for both repair shops when I was offered a job with a mobile repair service that was just starting out.

While with the mobile repair service, I did all areas of repair while in the shop and on the road.  I helped run the service repair truck for broken vehicles on the road.  I worked for this company for seven years, sharpening my skills along the way.  I helped grow the company to the point that it was ready to open a second location.  In August of 2000, I decided to go out on my own and opened Sullivan Auto Clinic.  Throughout my years in the automotive repair industry, I have kept as current as possible by going to update classes, and taking any training available.
